Bookkeeping cleanup in Fort Lauderdale

Behind on your books, or not sure the ones you have are right? We are a Fort Lauderdale firm that cleans up a period of books for one fixed price, shows you every fix before it is made, and hands back corrected books with a packet your CPA can use.

Why books fall behind here

In a seasonal market the busy months leave no time for the books, and the slow months feel like the wrong time to spend on them. By the time a tax deadline, a loan application or a partner asks for numbers, a year has gone unreconciled.

A cleanup is how you get that year back in one go, rather than paying by the hour for somebody to find out how bad it is.

How a cleanup works

  1. Step 1

    Name the period

Last year, the last six months, since you switched bookkeepers. One fixed price for the period you name, paid up front.

  2. Step 2

    We read all of it

Every transaction read against the bank and the document behind it: duplicates, deposits booked as income twice, uncategorized money, months that never reconciled.

  3. Step 3

    Fixes you approve

Each correction is proposed with the reason for it, and nothing is changed until you approve it. Paid invoices and closed periods are never touched without asking.

  4. Step 4

    A closing packet

Corrected books and a packet saying what changed and why, ready for your CPA, a lender or a buyer.

Questions

How much does a cleanup cost?
$1,500, one fixed price for the period you name, paid up front. Start the CFO package within 30 days and it is credited toward it.
Will you change things without asking?
No. Every correction is proposed with the reason for it and made only after you approve it.
Is this the same as tax preparation?
No. We get the books right; your CPA prepares and files the return from them.
